Meetups are normally organized by members. Joining the platform, approving a membership, or listing a meetup does not mean we have verified a person’s background, insured an activity, inspected a venue, or guaranteed anyone’s safety.
Make your own safety decisions
Choose a well-lit public venue, tell someone where you are going, arrange your own transport, protect your personal information and belongings, and leave if you feel unsafe. Confirm the host, timing, venue, capacity, accessibility, current kosher certification, and food or allergy arrangements directly. Do not rely on a directory entry as a safety or kashrut guarantee. For online meetings, protect meeting links and use the meeting provider’s safety controls.
Hosts’ responsibilities
Provide accurate details, get necessary venue permission, manage reasonable capacity and arrangements, and communicate changes or cancellations promptly. Hosts and participants must follow applicable laws and venue rules and assess whether insurance or other precautions are appropriate.
Risks and acknowledgment
Meeting people and traveling involve risks, including misconduct or dishonesty by others, harassment, assault, injury, illness, food allergies, property loss or damage, accessibility problems, travel delays, cancellation, and changes outside anyone’s control. You decide whether to attend or host and accept the ordinary inherent risks of your voluntary participation, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be waived. You remain responsible for your own conduct. This acknowledgment does not waive nonwaivable rights or excuse conduct for which the operator is legally responsible.
Report concerns promptly
Use the safety reporting form or support@myjewishcoffeeconnect.com. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Support and automated screening are not emergency services and are not monitored continuously.
